My name is Carla. I was born and raised near Leland, Mississippi. I've always loved growing plants and flowers. As a child, I would ask my mom if we could go to the nurseries? After I was grown, I worked at a small nursery before I came to teach school in Texas, where I met my husband, Andy Schmidt. Some of our best memories after we got married were working together to do the landscaping around our little house. I've learned to love the tropical varieties available here, and have enjoyed combining them with the tried and true plants of my childhood. Welcome to my nursery. I hope that you come to visit, shop, and become inspired. We will focus on the seasonal flowers and decor throughout the year. Andy's brother Phil and wife, Teresa own The Woodshed, an ice cream shop next door. Come browse the flowers and plants, and then cool off with an ice cream cone. You can enjoy your cone outside at the bar or find a comfortable chair or bench from Millhouse Furniture. The fire pit, surrounded with chairs in the retail greenhouse, will be a cozy place to visit, and plan your next decor adventure.
